Gala Cross Country

The event at Galashiels on Sunday 17th was sunny and cold with very muddy conditions after all the recent rain.

In the junior race, Alex Noble came in 12th out of 49 competitors in a time of 13.01, with Bruce Lindsay 13.28 not far behind in 14th place. Team mates Cameron Law 14.26, Joanne Lindsay 14.55, Hamish Law 15.24, Andrew Taylor 15.57, Cory Smith 16.32, Martin Sparksman 17.29 and Katriona (Katie) Proudfoot 17.54 all again had excellent runs.

All the runners are looking forward to the next round of the series which takes place in Berwick on 7th January.

Peebles Cross Country

Sunday 3^rd December saw the third race of the Borders Cross-Country series, which was hosted by Moorfoot Runners in Peebles

On a very wet morning, due to the weather conditions part of the course had to be changed at the last minute.

Dunbar were again well represented in the junior race, with only four seconds between them Bruce Lindsay led the Dunbar contingent home, in a time of 11.15, followed by Cameron Law in 11.19 in his third race of the series, followed in by club mates Hamish Law 11.43, Harry Steele 12.22, Joanne Lindsay 13.03, Elliot Mullen 13.37, Martin Sparksman 13.50, Katriona Proudfoot (Katie) 14.43, Gemma Bolton 15.05 and Isabelle Taylor 15.41.

The next run in the series takes place in Galashiels on 17^th December hopefully a bit drier.

THURSDAY NIGHTS/CROSS COUNTRY

DUE TO WORK COMMITMENTS BY THE COACHES THURSDAY NIGHTS WILL NOT BE ON DURING DECEMBER AND JANUARY SO THE LAST NIGHT WILL BE THURSDAY 30th NOVEMBER. THURSDAY NIGHTS WILL RESTART ON FEBRUARY 1st AT 6.30PM. THE CLUB WILL CONTINUE TO BE ON TUESDAY NIGHTS AS NORMAL DURING THIS TIME.

THE LAST CLUB NIGHT FOR THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS WILL BE TUESDAY 19th DECEMBER AND WILL RE-START ON TUESDAY 9th JANUARY 2007 AT 6.30PM.

CROSS COUNTRY.

WELL DONE TO ALL WHO TOOK PART IN THE CROSS COUNTRY IN THE RAIN AT PEEBLES TODAY, RESULTS WILL FOLLOW SOON.

DATES FOR THE REMAINING 4 CROSS COUNTRYS ARE AS FOLLOWS:-

17TH DEC GALASHEILS, 7TH JAN BERWICK, 28TH JAN WOOLER AND THE FINAL RACE WILL BE ON THE 18TH FEB AT NORHAM.
